For D-Type Visa & Residence Permit

  • Register through MIGRIS (Lithuanian Migration Information System)
  • Mediation letter from university (submitted via MIGRIS)
  • Valid passport (3+ months beyond visa, issued within 10 years)
  • Bank statement: €304/month minimum (€3,648/year)
  • Health insurance valid in Schengen (€30,000 visa; €6,000 TRP)
  • Police clearance, apostilled and translated into Lithuanian
  • Accommodation proof in Lithuania
  • Visa fee: €120; TRP fee: €120 (general) or €240 (urgent)
D-type visa decision: 15 calendar days. TRP processing: up to 2 months (general) or 45 days (fast-track). Students hold a D-type visa for year one, then apply for TRP through MIGRIS. The university submits the mediation letter digitally on your behalf.
